Project Description
Outlook 2007 AddIns to help getting to Inbox Zero, including an "AutoArchive Now" add in.

About

How big is your Inbox? 50 Mails? 500 Mails? Mine was exactly 12733 items until November 2008, when I saw Merlin Mann's "Inbox Zero" Speech, available at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=973149761529535925 and http://www.43folders.com/izero.

Your Inbox should always be empty, and there are essentially 5 ways to deal with e-Mail:
  1. Delete/Archive
  2. Delegate
  3. Respond
  4. Defer
  5. Do

To help me with this, I have started writing a set of Outlook AddIns.

AutoArchive Now!

User Manual and FAQ for AutoArchive Now!

One of the most useful, yet often overlooked functions in Outlook is the Auto-Archive function. This automatically moves your old e-Mail away from you into an archive, so that your main Folder structure should only contain current, still important mails. (For information on how to use Auto Archive, see http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;830119)

But often I want to manually archive a mail now because I have dealt with it already and don't need it anymore. AutoArchive Now! will add a new Context Menu entry. Simply Right-Click an e-Mail, select AutoArchive Now! and it will be moved into the Archive Folder.
